Mallorca Yacht CharterMallorca and the other Balearic Islands of Spain are Mediterranean jewels. They’re perfect for luxury, crewed yacht charters. The islands have a gentle Mediterranean climate with moderate temperatures throughout the year. Winter yacht charters are especially excellent – there are many warm and sunny days with good yacht charter sailing breezes.

Mallorca
Palma de MajorcaLargest of the legendary Balearic Islands, Mallorca is 62 miles long by 47 miles wide. It features high white cliffs with plenty of small bays and crystal blue waters. In the northwest, rugged mountains and rolling hills encompass numerous indentations that provide spectacular yacht charter anchorages. The northeast has the best sandy bays and attractive harbors. The southeast coast includes Porto Colom, the best natural harbor and anchorage in Mallorca. The capital of Palma, a renowned international resort, boasts sparkling nightclubs, casinos, shops, and beaches. Inland you will find unexpected beauty with olive groves and fruit orchards, Moorish terraced cultivation and dramatic mountain views.

Menorca
MenorcaThe smaller neighboring island (26 miles long by 11 miles wide) is Menorca. Menorca has much to offer with its stunning rocky cliffs, many resorts and attractive anchorages where you can escape from the crowds aboard your luxury charter yacht. The old capital of Ciudadela is well worth a visit. At Binibeca, an old fishing port, you will find the best in Menorca art.

Ibiza and Formentera
Ibiza, the most westerly of the Balearic Islands, is approximately the same size as Menorca. Ibiza has a rhythm and creativity all its own. Yacht charter destinations include several harbors and hundreds of quiet small anchorages around a rugged, dramatic coastline. The numerous resorts are surrounded by white sandy beaches and crystal blue waters. Traveling inland, you will be surprised by the rural charm of Ibiza with its green fertile lands and pine forests.Ibiza

Formentera is the smaller island (10 miles long by 8 miles wide) with two beautiful beaches – Mitjorn and Tramuntana. Formentera (and its neighboring island Espalamador) are mainly undeveloped, featuring lagoons, salt plains, rocky cliffs, pine forests and sandy beaches. Formentera is perfect for getting away aboard your crewed charter yacht.

Day 2:  Cruise aboard your crewed charter yacht to Puerto de Andratx,  an inviting little fishing port lodged in a small and narrow bay from which you can reach the Cabo de Sa Mola and see cliffs sharply falling into the sea. Take a swim and relax before lunch. Cruise up past the island of Dragonera, on the way to Sóller. Overnight.

Day 3: Sóller shares its valley with the village of Fornalutx and the hamlet of Biniaraix.  The valley is famous for its orange groves and terraces of ancient olive trees. The valley and its surrounding mountain range, the 'Serra de Tramuntana', is a favorite destination for people from all over the world, especially those who enjoy walking, nature, ecotourism, and swimming.  After lunch, point your charter yacht towards Pollensa.  Overnight.

Day 4: The city of Pollenca, a favorite for artists, is an old fishing port with a beautiful long and narrow bay. At the tip of the peninsula is Cap Formentor, an area with breathtaking views. After lunch, cruise aboard your charter yacht to the other side of the bay.  Explore the oldest city of the island, Alcudia, founded by the Phoenicians and once the capital of Majorca. Cross over to Menorca (21 nm).

Day 5:  Wake early for a walk around the historic harbor town of Ciudadela. The dockside cafés and restaurants of the natural harbor on Mahon on the southeast coast buzz with activity. Meanwhile you can also find total tranquility in the sheltered inlet at Addaya or in one of the many coves within the Bah’a de Fornells. Spend the day sailing your charter yacht to explore the area and choose a secluded cove to overnight.

Day 6: Leave early for a yacht cruise to Porto Cristo to anchor for lunch.  This area is famous for the caves discovered by Mea Martel in 1896, also favored by the kings of Mallorca for their summer holidays.  Continue on to the Island of Formentera to overnight.

Day 7: Formentera lies a few miles to the south of Ibiza. With its palm-fringed sandy beaches and clear, turquoise waters, this island is reminiscent of the Caribbean when the temperatures really rise in the summer. The long sandy spit of Illetas on the north side of the island is a favorite anchorage with magnificent views across the straits.

Day 8: Sail to Ibiza,  a busy seaside town by day with the liveliest nightlife available by night. Ibiza town has excellent shopping, restaurants, and bars.  Disembark to complete your luxury yacht charter.
