Palm Island
Palm Island is actually a 135-acre private resort with five white-sand beaches, low-key accommodations, walking trails, and a gourmet restaurant featuring European and Caribbean cuisine. Visitors who do not arrive by charter yacht take a 45-minute flight from Barbados to Union Island, finalized by an eight minute launch, guaranteeing arrival by sea.
The famous resort was first founded in the 1950’s. In 2000, it reopened after a nine-month, $4 million renovation. Since the resort can only host a maximum of 80 guests, visitors enjoy a quiet stay with lazy days although small sailboats and sailboards are provided as is a snorkeling excursion to the Tobago Cays.

"We loved Bequia, seeing the whaling history, and the Tobago Cays were lovely.
We would go back here again as there is still so much more
to see."
