Young Island
The private, enchanting Young Island is a 35-acre lush resort dotted with private cottages connected by stone walkways, stairways and flowered lined paths that also lead to vantage points with stunning views of the surrounding seas. The island, located off St. Vincent’s south coast, was supposedly once the home of a Carib Indian chief who traded it for a black stallion. Perhaps the trade wasn’t wise as today visitors will find an island comparable to a huge tropical garden. Flowers and fruit vegetation include white ginger, hibiscus, ferns, tall palms, and huge almond, mango, coffee, nutmeg and breadfruit trees that protect a beautiful white sandy beach with hammocks and thatched roofs providing additional shade. Enjoy a tropical cocktail at the floating “Coconut Bar” where drinks are served in fresh coconuts!

"We loved Bequia, seeing the whaling history, and the Tobago Cays were lovely.
We would go back here again as there is still so much more
to see."
