Croatia
The Land of Old, Emerging as a New Charter Location
Enveloped for decades inside Yugoslavia, the nation of Croatia is re-emerging and stretches along the Adriatic Sea from Italy to Montenegro. A jewel of a cruising location, Croatia is shaking off years of hiding in the shadows and is emerging as a great new charter location. Also known as the Dalmatian Coast, or The Land of 1000 Islands, this coastline sparkles with clear blue waters. Along the shoreline are fjords, beaches, stands of pine trees, and pristine anchorages, peppered between towns and villages earmarked with the architecture of centuries of evolving civilizations. In fact a number of the towns and villages in Croatia are home to UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and are well worth seeing.
Croatia as a cruising destination has emerged more every year, with new marinas being built and more crewed yachts available for charter along the coast. Cruise where many civilizations have cruised before over many centuries and left their mark along the shoreline, in cities, villages, even rock outcroppings. Anchor next to Roman or Medieval ruins, explore beautiful beaches in virtual solitude, visit markets where the smell of fresh fruits and vegetables greet you on entrance, and fresh glistening fish are sold on the docks in the early am.
Northrop and Johnson Yacht Charters is very versed on the yachts available, charter itineraries and the best ways to travel to and from this enchanting charter destination.
