GREECE & TURKEY
Rhodes to Bodrum
Day 1: Join your yacht in Rhodes Harbor, Greece. Settle in before spending the afternoon exploring the historic medieval "Old City. With endless sandy beaches and sunshine 300 days a year, Rhodes is the most popular of the Dodecanese Islands. If you are looking for quiet shores, cruise over to Stegna Beach or the sandy cove of Agathi. Overnight. Day 2: Enjoy breakfast before cruising to Symi Harbor. A lovely, mountainous island, Symi (or Simi) was reputed to be the birthplace of the Three Graces. Explore the Venetian flavor of the shops and tavernas of Symi Harbor. Day 3: Cruise to The Bay of Panormitis on the southwest coast to swim. After lunch, tour one of the island's most famous landmarks, the monastery of the Archangel Michael Panormitis. This ministry claims that all waters of the world pass through their bay at some point. Overnight.
Day 4: After a short sail from Symi clear into Turkey in Datca. Datca is a town where life centers around honey, which is reputed to be the best in Turkey. Spend time browsing through the carpet shops and boutiques or enjoy classic Turkish cuisine at one of the harbor restaurants.
Day 5: Enjoy the short cruise from Datca to the ancient Carian/Greek/Roman city of Knidos, which was supposedly built for the Goddess Aphrodite. Today, Knidos is a small hamlet with a picturesque harbor surrounded by ruins. Back in the 4th century BC it was a great center of the arts and a city of some 70,000 inhabitants. It was also the home of Sostratos, the architect who built the Pharos lighthouse at Alexandria-one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Now you can anchor in the same harbor as ancient civilizations and explore the ruins of this once prosperous trade city.
Day 6: Cruise to the Gulf of Gokova and the group of islands known as Şehir Adalari or Kedrai and visit Cleopatra's Beach, famous for its strange large-grained sand. Legend says that Cleopatra stayed here with Anthony. As this was a favorite of Cleopatra, Anthony had shiploads of sand brought from Egypt to create complete perfection. Overnight.
Day 7 : After breakfast cruise to Kara Island, famous for its hot sulphur springs which pour from the mouth of a narrow dark cave. Here you can soak in hot mud next to the ruins of an ancient temple. In the afternoon, continue onto Bodrum. Explore the town and bazaar before dining. Day 8: Guarding the harbor is a virtually intact castle built by the Crusaders as an outpost to the home castle in Rhodes. This castle now houses an excellent underwater archaeological museum housing many of the artifacts found in wrecks along the ancient trading route where you have just sailed. This is a must see before disembarking at noon.

Featured Destinations: GREECE AND TURKEY
There are still great charter yachts available! And Greece and Turkey are still great cruising areas! Perhaps it is the sun bounding off of the white marble and granite cliffs, reflected into the crystal clear blue waters, or the welcoming Greek and Turkish people, maybe it is the ability to snorkel over ancient sunken harbors, or explore ancient ruins "in the wild". Perhaps it is the Greek and Turkish fresh food and wines, or dining on deck in the shadow of an ancient Acropolis. Whatever the reason, Greece and Turkey are there and waiting to be discovered by you on a yacht charter this summer. Cruise through the Greek Islands, or along the Turkish coast, along the ancient trading route, or combine both and charter through Greek Islands and visit the Turkish Coast. Whether a motor yacht is your interest, or a Turkish Gulet, there are great yachts with great crews still available, ready and waiting to be booked for a summer get away charter.
