Thanksgiving - Under way....

Enjoy the Bahamas
 Relaxing in the Bahamas

......Or in a secluded anchorage far from the maddening crowds, floating on crystal clear blue waters, surrounded by miles of pristine sandy beaches without another soul in sight.  This could be your Thanksgiving Day Holiday, tucked away in the Bahamas, or perhaps in the lagoon surrounding Bora Bora.

Even if this is not a Holiday you celebrate, why not take a charter holiday break and have a roast turkey anyway.  Crews on charter yachts around the world have been roasting Turkeys for Thanksgiving Day Dinner with all of the "trimmings" for years and know just where to get that Turkey, even in Bora Bora

Fall, Spring and Summer are the best seasons in the Bahamas, contrary to common thought.  You can certainly charter in the Bahamas in the Winter, and 9 times out 0f 10 you will have great tropical weather, however sometimes, just like in Florida, a winter storm comes through and the temperature drops to sweater weather.  But November in the Bahamas is beautiful.

And there are so many islands to explore and anchorages aplenty.  There are miles and miles of isolated areas with beautiful clear shallow waters, and pink or white sand beaches.  Walk along the beach with only your footprints in the sand, hunt for shells that have drifted up from the depths, snorkel, swim and have fun with water toys for hours.

And the Bahamas are easy to get to with flights directly from your home into Nassau or Harbour Island, or flights into Ft. Lauderdale or Miami, with short jumper flights on.  Many yachts are located for boarding in Nassau, but can be delivered for an additional fee to other island areas in the Bahamas.  Or charter right out of Nassau and spend time in the Exumas or other surrounding islands.

There are over 700 islands and named bits of land in the Bahamas.  Spend time in the Exumas, just south of Nassau, or explore the Berry Islands.  Northeast of Nassau are the Abacos, and not far from Nassau are Eleuthera and Harbour Island.  The other island areas are all called the Bahama Out Islands. And in these Out Islands, you can:
  • Visit the Exumas Land and Sea Park
  • Dive the Current Cut in Eleuthera, a gorgeous dive location
  • Walk along the pink sand beaches of Harbour Island
And dive, snorkel, swim and explore, or deep sea fish in the channels between the islands.  There is always plenty to do.
