Sliver Cloud

Built to be completely stable in any sea conditions, the newly launched 2008 power catamaran, Silver Cloud fulfills the design intention of a large stable platform, with huge open interior spaces built for worldwide exploration in comfort in any sea conditions.  Available for crewed yacht charter, Missy Johnston and Carolyn Titus from Northrop and Johnson Yacht Charters located in Newport, Rhode Island, were both recently on board Silver Cloud in Antigua at the 49^th annual Antigua Yacht Charter Show.  Built with 5 guest staterooms for 10 guests with ensuite bathroom facilities with each stateroom, a gym, and an on board elevator from the main deck to the bridge and sun decks, Northrop and Johnson Yacht Charters is pleased to offer this yacht for crewed yacht charter in the various worldwide locations in which Silver Cloud will be cruising. 

 

Model Showing the Unique Stability Hull Design

The two hulls are designed with stability bulbs along the bottom of each hull and each hull has two computer controlled stabilizers, to fulfill the specific purpose of creating a vessel that will be as stable as possible in any sea conditions.  With a beam of 54 feet, and an open layout, Silver Cloud offers wide open interior spaces that are very easy to navigate when on board, with extra help from the elevator from which guests can access the three main decks.  The master stateroom forward has a kingsized bed perched on a platform for a 180 degree view out of the forward panoramic windows and a door out to a forward private master stateroom balcony.  With a his and hers bathroom and adjacent study, the master stateroom is a very comfortable living area.  Right next to the master stateroom is the on board gymnasium.  Two more staterooms each with king sized beds and another two staterooms each with two twin beds and another Pullman berth completes the compliment of guest staterooms on board.

On the aft deck is a helicopter pad, which can be converted into a large sunning area, and on the deck above is the on deck Jacuzzi.  A 39’ Intrepid and 23’ Novurania form the ship’s tender fleet complimented by a large array of water toys.

OMBRE BLU, a 50′ catamaran located in Sicily is offering charters this summer of both Sicily and the Aeolian Islands as their speciality. Italian Captain Francesco and his partner Melissa known this area very well, including the history, and of course, the special Sicilian foods and wines for which is area is famous. Ombre Blu is located for boardin in Milazzo, Sicily, just on the northerneastern tip of the island, which is a perfect starting point for a charter to include the Aeolian Islands, or just a charter along the coast of Sicily. Francesco and Melissa will also organize land trips with a car and guide, as who can come to Sicily and not visit Mount Etna.

Relax in the Caribbean

Moving on to the fourth day at the Antigua Yacht Charter show.
Today we viewed some more catamarans. Catamarans are always popular in crewed yacht charter in the Caribbean. New catamarans are being offered for crewed yacht charter each season. The trend in crewed catamarans offered for charter is for the new yacht to be bigger and more luxurious with each new catamaran launched.

MATAU, a 75′ catamaran was launched this Spring and has just sailed over to the Caribbean. With 4 guest staterooms, each with ensuite head, Matau is very roomy on board. The guest staterooms are large; three with queen sized beds and one with a king sized bed. Matau sports a flybridge deck with a wide open stairway for access to this deck on top of the covered aft deck, and a private aft deck area with deck recliners for sunning. Brett and Andrea welcome you on board, along with Brett’s sister Gina and Phillip for a full crew of 4.

DIADEM, 58′ Catamaran, with 3 guest staterooms has a large master on one side, which is a new layout, not found on many catamarans. While a great yacht for many groups, this layout is perfect for a family, with the parents in the master in one pontoon and the children in the other two staterooms in the other pontoon. One of the staterooms has a large king bed that can also be separated into two singles. Chadwick and Wendy, the Captain and Chef, are a very friendly and experienced charter crew.
