Yacht Charter; Discover the International and Traditional Balearic Island of Ibiza

Ibiza Island Harbor

Known as the international jet set island and a place to stop on a crewed yacht charter in the port of Ibiza Town for nights out clubbing and dancing, the island of Ibiza also has a lovely traditional side waiting to be discovered on a crewed yacht charter of the Balearic Islands.  People have flocked to Ibiza for over 2500 years, with remains on the island from the Phoenicians, and much of Ibiza is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.  With the white cubist architecture of Ibiza Town reflecting in the bright sunlight and beautiful blue clear waters, Ibiza has been chosen as the setting for a number of movies and books.  All night clubbing until sunrise (new law requires all clubs to be closed by 6:00am), is one draw of Ibiza, however the beauty of the island and the traditional little villages, beaches, and many anchorages are another draw for a visit on a crewed yacht charter of the Balearic Islands.

Yacht Charter Palma; Raining Roses

Spain, Palma Bar Abaco
Spain, Palma Bar Abaco

Tucked away in Old Town Palma, behind the large brown doors of a centuries old villa, is the bar Abaco, a must stop visit during a yacht charter of the Spanish Balearic Islands. Visiting Abaco is not a bar stop, it is an experience all encased within the walls of a 16th century traditional Spanish manor house. Decorated in the Baroque style, Abaco is a true taste of historic Palma. You should explore every room while there, and see every over the top flower display. And be sure to be there at 12:00 midnight on Friday night, as at midnight, every Friday night, to a loud crescendo of classical music, rose petals cascade down from the cavernous ceiling over the fireplace for a fresh rose petal carpet on the floor. And where else in the world can you see that? Read the rest of this entry »
