Scuba Dive or snorkel with sea turtles and manta rays. A very small island, Lady Elliot Island is located at the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef in the Marine Park “Green Zone”. Away from the coast just enough to not be affected by inland river runoff, the waters are extremely clear around this island which is teeming with marine life.

This naturally occurring reef formed in the shape of a heart is a great location to fly over for a romantic trip and perhaps even a marriage proposal in the air. This reef is 17 miles wide, and the heart shape can really only be seen overhead from the air.

Not right on the ocean, however, it is still well worth to trip inland for a visit to this well organized and well laid out zoo; featuring animals both native to Australia and native to other countries. For a fee, you can cuddle a Koala Bear, a soft bundle of bear, smelling of eucalyptus that will be hard to put down.
Wallaman Falls, Girringun National Park, Australia
A great hike for those so inclined, but be sure to bring lots of water and wear hiking shoes. The hike down is very quick and easy; however, the hike back up is neither quick or easy. The area is a sacred location for the original aboriginal people of Australia; home to the tallest water fall in Australia, and located within one of the oldest rain forests on earth which is filled with various species of flora, fauna, wildlife and birds.
The Waitangi Treaty Grounds, Bay of Islands, New Zealand
It is at this location where local Maori Chiefs first signed an important historic treaty for peace with the British Crown. Located here is the original Treaty House, a replica of the Meeting House, and a ceremonial war canoe. Tours are available, along with Maori Cultural Performances.
Marlborough Sounds, South Island, New Zealand
