After breakfast start your cruise on the Hudson River, stopping for lunch in Coxsackie, one of the most pleasant riverfront villages to visit, with many antique shops and 18th and 19th century buildings. Cruise to one of the nearby islands to swim. Leave in the afternoon and cruise to Kingston, docking at the City Docks in historic downtown Kingston. Enjoy dinner on board and stay overnight in Kingston.

Stay again in Hyde Park and tour the historic homes. The Vanderbilt Mansion Historical Site in Hyde Park was built in the late 1900’s in a Beaux-Arts style and features furnishings, tapestries, rugs and porcelains from this period, as well as a coach house, formal garden and a magnificent view of the river. The most famous homes in Hyde Park are those of the Roosevelt family. Val-Kill, Eleanor Roosevelt’s former home contains her original furnishings; The Franklin D. Roosevelt Library Museum contains the personal papers of the former president, along with government records, personal memorabilia, and state photographs; and the home of Franklin D. Roosevelt, the final resting place of the former president and first lady. In the afternoon visit the Rivendell Winery via taxi for a wine tour and tasting. Return to overnight on board in Hyde Park.

Cruise in the morning to West Point, passing around Bannerman’s Island with the ruins of a Scottish Castle. Dock across the river from West Point and taxi to visit the military institution at your leisure or by arranged tour. Brotherhood Winery is in the vicinity and can be visited by taxi as well. Brotherhood is the oldest continuously operating winery in the United States and boasts subterranean caves, an art and antiques gallery, and tasting rooms. After dinner a performance at the Eisenhower Hall of Performing Arts, depending on performance schedules. Stay overnight at West Point.
