Yacht Charter Itinerary The Grenadines, St Lucia to Union Island
Written by Missy Johnston

St. Lucia
St. Lucia. After boarding head to Soufriere, a small town dominated by the towering twin Pitons, and perhaps take a walk in the rain forest or explore the sulphur springs. Anchor overnight in Marigot Bay, known for excellent sunsets.

St. Vincent
In the morning leave for St Vincent on a beautiful broad reach of about 30 nautical miles. Enjoy lunch at Cumberland Bay, where a forest of coconut and banana trees flows down the valley to the beach. Enjoy the towering mountains and craggy peaks as you cruise along the steep and wild terrain of St Vincent. Arrive at Young Island for a swim and cocktails before dinner and an overnight stay.

Bequia Old Sugar Mill Ruins
Leave early for the small island of Bequia. Once an active whaling station, Bequia is a location unique to the Caribbean with a fun, tropical marketplace and workshops displaying sought after hand-carved wooden sailing boats. Enjoy the night at anchor in Admiralty Bay, and step a shore to visit the well know Frangipani Hotel for cocktails on the lawn overlooking the bay.

Mustique Princess Margaret’s Villa
After breakfast pull up anchor for Mustique. An exclusive island for the rich and famous. On Mustique visit Basil’s Bar, where a chance meeting of David Bowie and Mick Jagger has been known to happen. Or perhaps have a drink or dinner at the Cotton House. Rent a Moke or a horse and explore the island filled with beautiful high end villas, or enjoy scuba diving to explore a few of the shipwrecks in the waters around the island.

Canouan Anchorage
Leave early for a sail to Canouan and relax in a peaceful anchorage off Charlestown Bay for a quiet lunch, before going ashore to explore. This is a quiet little island with several large resorts, and a world class golf course. Spa services are available with advance reservations at the resorts.

Tobago Cays Anchorage
Sail to the Tobago Cays after lunch; the inner lagoon is considered the best snorkeling and diving in the Grenadines. This is a popular location for sea turtles to congregate. Technically uninhabited, locals from St. Vincent will visit in little boats with lobsters or other wares to sell, and pop-up t-shirt or pareo “shops” consisting of a line strung between two palm trees on the beach, may appear. Enjoy a beautiful night under the stars.

Palms on Palm Island
Leave for Palm Island home to Palm Island Resort and wade along Casuarina Beach, a gorgeous expanse of golden sand and turquoise water. Perhaps stroll on one of the hiking paths around the island. Enjoy a cocktail at the Sunset Bar before heading back to the yacht for dinner.

Union Island Happy Island Bar
Leave after breakfast to motor over to Union Island for your flight home.
