Nothing says endless white and pink sand beaches and fun in the sun better than a private yacht charter vacation in the Bahamas. Swim in warm, crystal clear blue-green waters and snorkel over extensive and beautiful coral gardens. There are so many different ways to enjoy the Bahamas on a private charter yacht, it seems that the Bahamas is a perfect yacht charter vacation destination.
We have put our expertise to good use and crafted fun-filled itineraries for those seeking the warmth and sun of a yacht charter trip to this little slice of paradise. Here are three of our Bahamas yacht charter itineraries, along with some highlights from each:
The Exuma Islands: Nassau to Staniel Cay—Visit Staniel Cay to see the brightly colored Bahamian houses. Snorkel in Thunderball Cave, the filming location for both “Splash” and “Thunderball.” Visit the swimming piggies on Big Major Cay and, before disembarking, take in the nightlife at Atlantis Resort in Nassau.
The Colonial Bahamas—Climb aboard your luxury charter yacht in Harbour Island, Bahamas and explore the elegance of Dunmore Town. Find a private anchorage and take a relaxing swim along a pink sand beach. Diving fans can’t miss the high speed drift dive through Current Cut. Enjoy the delicious sweet local black pineapple in Gregory Town, and eventually cruise to the historic town of Spanish Wells, first discovered by Christopher Columbus.
The Exuma Islands: Nassau to Georgetown—After boarding your charter yacht in Nassau, cruise south to Highbourne Cay and anchor for the night. Swim, snorkel, and enjoy the water toys on board your charter yacht while exploring the long, beautiful beaches. Cruise to Shroud Cay and take the ship’s tender and waverunners (if the yacht has waverunners) through unspoiled mangrove creeks. Enjoy a private picnic lunch in total seclusion. Those seeking a little pampering can book a spa appointment at the Four Seasons Resort not far from the village of Georgetown. Or, perhaps a round of golf at the Sandals Emerald Reef Resort at the course designed by Greg Norman is more to your liking.
