NJ Charters has different French private luxury yacht itineraries that include Nice, so there is always an opportunity to explore this beautiful Mediterranean city.
One of the main attractions is, of course, the beach. There are several private beaches to pay to access, such as the one by the Plage Beau Rivage restaurant. After soaking up the rays on the pebbly coastline (or from the deck of your luxury yacht anchored off the beach), try one of the activities on this list.
Bicycle Tours
From self-directed biking expeditions up and down the Promenade des Anglais to guided French Riviera e-tours, there are plenty of options to get a little bit of exercise and fresh air.
The Hotel Negresco
Stop in at the bar for a glass of champagne and afterward, stroll through the hallways of this early 20th-century luxury hotel. It’s brimming with interesting artistic and architectural pieces, including a chandelier that was hung for a visiting Russian tsar and a dome designed by Gustave Eiffel (famous for the Eiffel Tower in Paris).
Old Nice
The historic side of the city offers plenty of shopping, dining, and exploration options to stay busy for an afternoon. Visit a handful of old churches to get an appreciation for the architecture and history of the area. The Old Port often draws other yachties, so this is the place to go to mingle with like-minded people.
Place Massena
Spend time wandering through the main square of Nice appreciating the iconic ground tiles and red buildings. This is the perfect spot to take pictures in front of the famous Fontaine du Soleil. This large, central fountain features a 23-foot (7-meter) statue of Apollo and is a frequent subject of classic Nice vacation photos.
Castle Hill
If you’re in the mood for a long walk (or an elevator ride) up the steps of Castle Hill, the view at the top should be enough of a reward to make the journey worthwhile. From the park at the top, it is a great view and photo opportunity down over the colorful buildings of Nice.
Museums
Nice offers a seemingly endless supply of museums for art and history enthusiasts to wile away the hours. Try the Matisse Museum, the Chagall Museum, The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, or the civic museum at The Palais Lascaris.
Whatever the choice, there is plenty to do, including chic shopping, when including Nice on a yacht charter itinerary along the French Riviera.
