Almost any beach vacation can give you enough sand, surf, and seafood options to satisfy you for a week. But only a yacht cruise to Skopelos can deliver the kind of spectacular, jaw-dropping majesty of a true island paradise.

Try kayaking, scuba diving, or paddle boarding up and down any of Skopelos’s famous beaches. If you pick the well-known locations, you may be soaking up the sun alongside other like-minded travelers. Seek out secluded beaches for an afternoon relaxing in complete peace and privacy. As after all you have your own private yacht and crew to go where you want to go.

Try the beaches of Milia, Stafylos, or Limnonari to start with, but Skopelos is home to so many amazing beaches that it’s hard to recommend just a few. If you’re a fan of Mamma Mia, be sure to stop by Kastani beach, where the movie was filmed.

Explore churches, monasteries, lighthouses, and mysterious gravesites.

There are over 360 monasteries and churches on the island, but there is one you should be sure to visit. The site of the Agios Ioannis Church is one of the most picturesque and amazing locations on the island. Perched atop a huge rocky cliff, this iconic church requires you to climb almost 200 steps before you reach the entrance.

The Sendoukia Carved Graves draw visitors because of their ancient history and perfect placement on the side of Mount Kyra. From this vantage point, you can see the island of Alonissos as you explore the ancient Roman and early Christian graves.

For more spectacular scenery, take the challenging hike to Gourouni Lighthouse. Try to time your visit during sunset to make the most of the incredible view over the Aegean Sea.

Spend some time in town.
